Overview: AdAway is the open source ad blocker for Android using the hosts file.

Attention: DEVICE MUST BE ROOTED FOR THIS APPLICATION
Requirements:

• Read/Write access on system-Partition

Features:
-AdAway is Open Source
-AdAway lets you select your own sources of hosts files
-You can add exceptions to your Whitelist if some apps are not working with ads disabled
-You can define extra hostnames in your own Blacklist
- You can add your own hostname - IP pairs in the Redirection List

Hostnames missing?
-Please report missing hostnames in the Forum Hosts Inbox of http://hosts-file.net.
 -To test the new hostnames you can add them to your own blacklist in AdAway.


Problems:
• On some HTC devices with a 'feature' called S-ON system-Partition is not writable.
